Bill is mad at Comey, not himself?

Why did James Comey feel like he had to break years of precedent and discuss the Clinton investigation publicly? I'm guessing it had to do with the appearance of impropriety by Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch, meeting privately in Arizona.

Once the situation was discussed with the public, he didn't really have much choice but to announce the reopening of the investigation due to Weiner's email-based apparent attempt at a get-out-of-jail-free-card.

Get as mad as you want, Bill. Comey didn't cost your wife the election. There were a lot of things that did ... and you were one of them.
